2.Xochimilco floating gardens, Coyoacan and UNAM murals

★★★★★★★★★★4.0 · 53 reviews · 6 to 8 hours (approx.) · from $49

Spend 6 to 8 hours visiting Coyoacan, Casa Azul when tickets are available, UNAM’s murals, and Xochimilco’s canals. Hotel pickup, transport, admission fees, and a trajinera ride are included. The small-group tour runs in English, though bilingual guiding and traffic can affect the pace.

“The tour says 6 hrs but it was 9 hrs because of traffic. Traffic is an issue everyday so they should let tourist know that most of the time will be spent in the car : we spent 4 hrs touring the places and 5 hrs in the shuttle. Our tour guide was unpleasant in nature. . She was grumpy, on her phone most of the time, and was not engaging. We could of done without the “guide” and had a better experience. I would not recommend.”

Visit to Xochimilco, Coyoacán and Ciudad Universitaria

3.Visit to Xochimilco, Coyoacán and Ciudad Universitaria

★★★★★★★★★★3.5 · 28 reviews · 7 hours (approx.) · from $44Best value

Spend about seven hours visiting UNAM, riding a trajinera through Xochimilco, and walking Coyoacán. The tour includes transport, boat fees, and an English option, with groups capped at 15. Expect a lively canal ride, colonial streets, possible food and music sales, and uneven guide quality.

“I had a fun time, visiting this great little "floating village." I'm from New Orleans, so it was like Mardi Gras floats on boats, sailing down the canals. Delicious lunch from the cook whose canoe attached to ours and food was prepared fresh and to order! Complete with a mariachi band that glides by you and even a souvenir guy, if you're needing a sombrero or serape in a pinch! Coyoacan was beautiful, and seeing the coyote statues all over, hearing the history and walking in the parks was a nice change from being in the busy city. The stop at CU was informative, as well.”

Walk around UNAM campus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

4.Walk around UNAM campus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 22 reviews · from $76Top rated

Walk 4 kilometers through UNAM with Sebastián, a former student and lecturer who explains Juan O’Gorman’s Central Library, major murals, modernist design, student life, and the university’s political and social role. Tours run in English or Spanish, rain or shine.

“Sebastian was highly knowledgeable about the history, architecture, and politics of UNAM. He showed us around multiple faculties and murals on campus, as well as the auditorium where Okupa Che is based. I would highly recommend this tour for an introduction to a very significant autonomous institute in Latin America.”
