1.Xochimilco, Coyoacan, Frida Kahlo Museum & Murals Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.4 · 3,025 reviews · from $89Our pick

Spend 10 hours with bilingual guides such as Alex, Rodrigo, or Leonardo exploring Coyoacán, Casa Azul, UNAM’s murals, and Xochimilco. Choose the Frida Kahlo Museum and lunch options carefully, since the cheapest fare includes neither.

“This was a great tour with Leo & Alan they both handled the large group very well and were timely and interactive without being too much. They were both very knowledgeable. I traveled with 3 adults, 1 preteen, 1 teen, and an infant. We booked the full experience tour and it was extremely accomodating to all of us. It's a good tour if you want to hit a few spots but I'll add if you want a full experience on the Trajineras I would look for a different tour because this one felt short and a bit rushed. I definitely recommend getting the tour with the Frida Kahlo tickets included…”

Chapultepec Castle & Anthropology Museum Tour

2.Chapultepec Castle & Anthropology Museum Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 1,348 reviews · 5 hours (approx.) · from $79

Spend about five hours exploring Mexico City’s Anthropology Museum and Chapultepec Castle with an English-speaking guide. See the Aztec Stone of the Sun, Olmec heads, royal apartments, murals, carriages, and sweeping city views. Guides such as Leonardo, Ligia, Gio, and Antonio are praised for clear, engaging history lessons.

“This was a painful experience, a waste of $445.00. The guide had the most rudimentary English, impossible for the teens to understand, irritating for the adults since our guide had no background in art or history so all we came away with was what we read on the plaques.”

Anthropology Museum Guided Tour

4.Anthropology Museum Guided Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 1,035 reviews · 2 hours 30 minutes (approx.) · from $39

Spend about 2.5 hours with an English-speaking guide at Mexico City’s National Museum of Anthropology. Guides such as Alan, Ligia, Leonardo, and Antonio have earned praise for clear storytelling, though group size, meeting procedures, and English clarity can vary.

“I believe that a tour guide is needed at this museum if you can't read Spanish since only 25% of the signs are translated to English. This is definitely not the tour to choose though. This tour was a large group of 20+ people. Our guide Hector was not great. He spent as much time doing crowd work as he did actually telling us about the cool artifacts. This tour is 2.5 hours long but I feel that I only received 1 hour of good explanations. He kept saying "this is hard to explain" at every stop we made. You would expect that a tour guide would be able to…”
